JUDICIAL COUNCIL OF CALIFORNIA

The National Center for State Courts, an independent, nonprofit court improvement organization, reached out to nugget&bundle to create a series of videos for the Judicial Council of California, the policymaking body of the California court system. The intent of the videos was to reach a broad audience with information about how to navigate various legal actions, such as serving papers and preparing for your day in court.

As such, the videos were created in nine languages:
Cantonese, English, Farsi, Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.

The creative direction was to have a main character that wasn’t necessarily any specific gender or race to best appeal to the wide audience of California, as well as diversity in the additional cast. While the name is never given, our main character was named “Pep” and they were a lot of fun to design and animate.
